Adlai Stevenson High School is located at 39701 Dodge Park Road; Sterling Heights, MI 48313  and is one of four high schools in the Utica Community School District.

The award-winning Stevenson Instrumental Music program includes Marching Band, Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, Orchestra, and Jazz Band led by Mr. Michael Sekich.

TENATIVE SPRING TRAVEL INFORMATION

We are starting to make plans for a Spring Trip to New York City May 24-27 2012! 
 If we have enough interest to travel, we will make plans to do so. 
If not, the groups will not be traveling this year.  

Groups that we are planning to attend are:
Concert Band, Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Jazz Band, and ANY Marching Band Members!

If this trip indeed takes place, the ESTIMATED cost would be in the $800-$900 dollar range.


Highlights of a New York trip may include:
 ~Times Square

 ~Today Show

~Broadway show
(students vote, top 3 will be available for student to pick one show

~Broadway clinic- for one of the shows chosen
(the conductor of that show will come and give the kids feedback on their performance of the songs.
 Cast members may also come.)

~Live Jazz set

~Street Fair

  ~   Spirit Cruise-
Dinner/dance cruise around Statue of Liberty

~ Central Park

Bus would leave Thursday night and arrive in New York Friday morning. 

Bus would arrive home Monday, Memorial Day, after the parade is finished. 
     Each bus holds 54 people. 
More people attending can reduce the price. 
No passport is needed, not going through Canada.  

Currently we have A LOT of fundraising opportunities for you and your child to raise money to attend our trip.

As a good faith agreement, please send a deposit of $100.00 which will hold your bus seat and Theater Ticket.  This check WILL NOT BE CASHED UNTIL WE NEED TO MAKE A DEPOSIT WITH THE AWARDED TRAVEL COMPANY.     Checks will not be cashed until January 5th. 
When we do cash your check, it WILL BE NON-REFUNDABLE.  This is to pay for the bus seat/Theater Ticket that will be ordered that day.  Please understand that once the deadline is past, your check will be cashed and you can not get that money back unless someone buys that seat from you.  The boosters are not making ANY money on this trip.  It is not the booster’s responsibility to pay for a person backing out of a trip last minute.
